Q Did you fee the prifoner during the rebel lion? A.-i did. He ?ept at my h'oufe, about a mile from Tintern, the night before the pl oteftants were taken. On that day he left my houfe about ten in the morning. In the evening he returned, and told me that, he had been met by a party going to take up the proteltants, who forced him to go along with them. He told me the protellants were taken pri foners to the camp, and expreffed great forrow at it. I never heard him call-ed captain or ferjeant, or ever knew him to have any authority whatever.
