Excerpt from Historical Sketch of Saint James Square, Presbyterian Congregation, Toronto, 1853-1903: Prepared Under the Authority of the Session and Board of Management
On Monday evening, June lst., there will be a social gathering of the congregation, to which the Presbytery of Toronto and all former members of the congregation will be invited. From six to eight o'clock refreshments will be served, and fullest opportunity given for friendly intercourse. Thereafter a public service will be held in the church, when short addresses will be given by the Honorable the lieutenant-governor of Ontario, the Mayor of Toronto, Rev. Dr. J. Munro Gibson, Sir Thomas Taylor a representative of Toronto Presbytery and Mr. Henry Darling representing the former members of the congregation.
