Excerpt from Historical Discourse: Preached on the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Organization of the United Church May 8th, 1892
Mr. Bostwick of New York, who was present at the services, was the third child baptized in the present church edifice.
On April 28th, 1879, the late Hon. Henry E. Pardee, then clerk of the Society, presented at its annual meeting, a carefully prepared sketch of its history. The thanks of the Society were voted to Judge Pardee for his labor of love, and the paper was recorded at length in Volume 7 of its Records. To make the result of his researches more clearly accessible here after to the members of the congregation, the sketch is now printed in this pamphlet, which has been compiled hy'a committee of the church.
The following vote of the Society was passed at its annual meeting, May sth, 1892.
