En tal situación se instalaron en sesiones ordinarias las Cámaras legislativas el 26 de enero, eligiendo la del Sena do para su Presidente al señor General Rafael Urdaneta, para Vicepresidente al señor Juan de Dios Picón y para Secretario al señor José Angel Freire. La Cámara de Diputados nombró para los mismos cargos, respectivamente, á los señores Juan Nepomuceno Chávez, Bernabé Planas y José Antonio Pérez.
