To keep it simple: The author put himself in the position of a "research artist" or an inquisitive "painter" who intended to create a portrait of Christ after much research but ended up re-discovering Him in pictures that already existed. This book delved into what is an elusively simple question: What did (or does) Jesus look like? Also, it systematically and meticulously discusses some related issues, which often receive quick but unsubstantiated comments or responses from some people. The author employs a unique but multidimensional methodology to search for the "true face" of Jesus from biblical, theological, spiritual, historical, anthropological, social, as well as artistic perspectives based on his personal reflections, relevant scriptural scans, consultations, research, and theological deductions.
