Publisher's Synopsis
Jon and Lindsay have once again set aside retirement. They've returned to Egypt on a two-year contract. Jon becomes the exploration supervisor in the Valley of the Kings while Lindsay becomes the curator of the new, Grand Cairo Museum.
Lindsay is assisting the Swedish team in KV-62 when another archaeological team requests her assistance. If their theory is correct and they are successful, they've discovered the tomb of eighteenth dynasty pharaoh Thutmose I and his daughter, pharaoh Hatshepsut. Mystery abounds the potential discovery; why did her younger brother and successor, Thutmose III attempt to erase her from history? Did he take steps to insure her burial site would forever remain undiscovered?
At the height of their discovery, a collapse traps Lindsay inside the tomb. Can she find another way out of this tomb, even larger than KV-5, or can the Egyptian Army Corps of Engineers tunnel through the collapse in time to rescue her?
As with previous Mask stores, this one grips the reader in the quest for discovery and knowledge of the past as they go where no modern man has gone before....
