Rome university student Stefano De Luca was leading an ordinary life until his mother confesses on her deathbed that his biological father is a priest named Timothy Rocco, who is the chief Vatican archeologist. Stefano learns Father Rocco committed suicide by hanging himself. No one who knew him can explain why he would kill himself. Puzzled, Stefano and reporter Angelique Corcoran search for answers, inadvertently involving themselves in Vatican City politics. What they discover challenges the foundation of the Christian faith and puts their lives in danger.
