Publisher's Synopsis
"I'm Grown: A Narrative of Faith" was written to open dialogue about rape culture, family traumas, child trafficking, scandals in churches, and domestic violence - all taboo topics with which I've had direct experiences. Society has a history of blaming the victims of the aforementioned offenses as if they are fine with being raped, molested, kidnapped, or assaulted.I've witnessed countless incidents of people attempting to validate offenders. They'd rather allow the assaults to continue than to admit their family caused harm to another, or their favored leaders and entertainers are criminals deserving of legal reprimand. Parents have allowed their children to be taken and broken, all to protect another person. The Narrative continues as we explore a different young lady's journey to making Her-Story Matter.
