Publisher's Synopsis
The Disability Working Allowance (DWA) is an in-work benefit designed to help disabled people to start and remain in work. This report looks at how far DWA helps people in supporting employment schemes. The research, undertaken by the Policy Studies Institute, examines whether workers in supported employment form a pool of potential DWA recipients and how they can be encouraged to claim. It involved a postal survey to assess eligibility, interviews with employers, and discussion groups with employees.
