Zu dem zweiten Kapitel hat Herr Bockhotf wertvolle Beiträge geliefert. Das wichtigste Resultat desselben ist wohl, daß ein ver lorener byzantinischer Roman des 13. Jahrhunderts mit ziemlicher Sicherheit rekonstruiert werden kann.
