The book encourages a closer, more intimate relationship with the Creator and to break the bonds of religion, traditions of men, and self-righteousness in the Christian community. Heart Condition suggests that the church has come between God and his people(unwittingly), and that now is a great time for self-examination to see whether or not we are truly of the faith, so that we can once again turn this world upside down the way Jesus Christ did during his earthly ministry.
