Publisher's Synopsis

Hannah's friend, Miss Fischer, decides to solve Hannah's problems by giving her a valuable brooch. She is so full of enthusiasm for the idea that she fails to notice that she's left the gas on, and dies without having had a chance to tell Hannah where the brooch is hidden. Miss Fischer decides there is no alternative but to come back as a ghost. But giving someone a message when they can't see or hear you is not easy and Miss Fischer has to find many different ways of contacting Hannah before the brooch is found. Please note that this book was published as a hardback under the title of MISS FISCHER'S JEWELS.
