Harrod's Librarians' Glossary of Terms Used in Librarianship, Documentation and the Book Crafts and Reference Book

For many years, "Harrod's Librarians' Glossary" has been used as the standard reference handbook of terms used in librarianship, documentation, information science, the book trade, printing, publishing, and archive work around the world. With constant developments in the field of library and information science it has been necessary to keep the book up-to-date and the result is the new Seventh Edition, due to be published in November 1990. Over 2200 terms from the fifth edition have been revised or removed, while over 800 new entries are included. This new edition will remain the only single volume source of authoritative definitions, descriptions and explanations for the professional and is an essential work to which every librarian, information officer, archivist and student should have ready access.
