Publisher's Synopsis

This handbook contains the results of primary research on the stability and compatibility of drugs administered by injection. There are 270 monographs on commercially available drugs listed alphabetically by non-proprietory name. Each monograph deals with concentration (formulation, reconstitution), stability, pH, dosage, and compatibility (with infusion solutions and other drugs). There is further material on 50 investigational drugs and a tabulated section on the composition and characteristics of commercially available intravenous infusion solutions. Ten drugs not yet licensed in the USA, mostly from the UK, are included with 1500 published references.
