Publisher's Synopsis
Part One is a book of basic information and visualization ideas to help MRI patients get through their MRI exams. My credential is that I worked in the MRI department for six years checking in hundreds of claustrophobic people before their scans at Mass General Hospital in Boston. I write this book out of compassion for these poor sensitive souls and hope it helps alleviate some of their distress.
Part Two is a comprehensive look at the different types of claustrophobia and how to manage them. In this part, I delve into behavioral therapy and other techniques to combat this somewhat debilating condition.
