The National Alliance to End Homelessness reported more than 500,000 people were homeless in 2019, and that more than 200,000 were unsheltered. I share my personal experiences being homeless in my new book "Homeless - stories from the road. In the book I explain what it was like to survive on the road, lessons that I learned, and what it took to recover. I also wanted to help those less fortunate, so I am donating the proceeds from the book to the Salvation Army for giving me a place to sleep and food to eat all those years ago.
