In the short interval of two and a half years which has elapsed Since the preparation of the first edition of this book a large amount of new material has been added to the literature of gunshot injuries as a result of the present European War. In consequence thereof any work on gunshot injuries no matter how recently produced requires extensive additions This was realized and the labor of revision was begun shortly after war was declared.
