Publisher's Synopsis
In 1989, one November night, a crowd was gathered outside the block of 54th Upland-Way and 59th Street near Wynnfield in West Philadelphia, where a party was taking place. Suddenly, three cars pulled up. One pulled over to the opposite side of the street, and the other two drove up to the crowd. Of the two, June Bug and Lucky hopped out of the first one while Ray Ray emerged from the second one. June Bug and Lucky walked through the crowd until they encountered a guy named Raphael.
Lucky first punched Raphael in the face, then June Bug picked him up and slammed him to the ground. Ray Ray, with a small caliber handgun, staggered over to Raphael and shot him twice in the abdomen. Amazingly, Raphael jumped up and started to run diagonally across the street toward 59th St. near Wynnfield. While running away, more shots rang out from the car that was parked across the street.
