Under considerable pressure to get top grades, one day I decided to try to train my subconscious to help on exams while I was taking them. The results were startling and I graduated with nearly a 4.0 honor point average. Later it helped me complete my doctoral program in just over 2 years.When I went to work, I found that my subconscious was equally effective on work problems. Without being asked, it provided the solution to a potentially project ending problem plaguing one of the company's major government contracts which, after my solution was implemented and shown to work, I was told the problem had been considered unsolvable. As a result, this began the redirection of my career to that of solving major technical problems others were unable to solve, including problems on or associated with Titan II, Apollo, Boeing 747, and NATO, which I did for more than 55 years.Given the subconscious is one of the most powerful of the human resources and few are aware of its capabilities, I have been working to change that. For years I have been formally and informally helping people, including those who worked for me, learn about the power of their subconscious and how to utilize it with the idea that being able to direct the efforts of one's subconscious mind can enable them to solve more difficult problems than they are currently able to solve. While satisfying, I felt troubled in that I was only reaching a small number of people. I kept thinking: We live in an intelligent and highly capability country, but how much better could it be if everyone was able to direct their subconscious? I decided to write a book so that anyone who wished could develop the capability to control of their subconscious. This book is the initial result. The first part of the book describes what prompted me to look at the subconscious, how it appears to work, what I did with it, and how others got started. The second part of the book describes, in some detail, a number of the 'unsolvable' problems I was tasked to undertake and how I solved them. I hope that you find the thought of having such a capability exciting, especially since you know it is something that can be learned.
