This book is straightforward and easy to understand. I had diverticulitis two weeks ago, and have been doing a ton of research online. Sadly, there is so much misinformation out there, that I became frustrated and confused. I just wanted to give up. Fortunately, I came across some research on fiber and that lead me to this book. It totally makes sense! I look back on my diet before diverticulitis, and now I realize that I may have been eating too much fiber. Ugh. I am grateful that I found this book, and I'm ready to dive into this healing diet. The only question I have is that there is no mention of eating garlic or onions. And if I should include probiotics. Fingers crossed that I will be able to recover through this diet, as I am tired of being in pain.
