Growing up at the Foot of the Cross is an autobiography by Judith Lyness. Judith is a retired Nurse Practitioner. After many requests from her patients to share her interesting life, this book evolved. The book is about the beginning of Judith's life and her companionship with God through that journey. Judith shares with her readers her life as a young girl learning about God, her experiences as a Carmelite novice, her journeys to Fatima and Lourdes as well as a pilgrimage to Rome to witness the holiness of Pope Paul VI. Always leaning on God to direct her in the course of life that He had intended for her, Judith has worked in a group home for adolescent girls, pursued a nursing degree and eventually obtained a Masters Degree in Nursing with a Nurse Practitioner Specialty.
