Publisher's Synopsis
Terms such as migrant or migration literature are often rejected by the authors concerned. This volume transcends such categorizations by following the different paths migrants have made into literature. To this end, he dedicates himself to the history of literary immigration (Elias Canetti, Milo Dor, György Sebestyén) and contemporary authors who have hardly been discussed so far (Seher Çakir, Ilir Ferra, Tanja Maljartschuk, Stanislav Struhar). At the center of the discussion are the questions of how these authors locate themselves in their works and through certain publication organs, how they are positioned by publishers, critics or awards and what roles their migration biographies and their multilingualism play in these processes.hungsorgane selbst verorten, wie sie durch Verlage, Kritik oder Preise positioniert werden und welche Rollen ihre Migrationsbiographien und ihre Mehrsprachigkeit in diesen Prozessen spielen.
