The lifestyle of kids growing up in the 1940's and 50's were quite different from those in the generations that followed. We had more freedom to roam and explore. WE had many experiences there were common to us that the young people of today will
never know. I wanted my daughter and my grandchildren to know our experiences and how we saw the world through the eyes of a teenager. My grandparents were youngsters before the Civil War, and I have often wondered what they experienced growing up but never had the opportunity to find out. This book will give my grandchildren and those that follow them just how we loved through the depression years, World War II and the Korean Conflict. As I look back, I would have to say, our generation was blessed and growing up was some of the best years of our life.
