Publisher's Synopsis
A selection of papers from the proceedings of the Third International Symposium on Grass Systematics and Evolution and from the Second International Conference on the Comparative Biology of the Monocotyledons held in Sydney, Australia in 1998. The papers represent some of the leading work from around the world on grasses and monocots, and include reviews and research into comparative biology and classification. All 72 papers have been peer-reviewed and edited. Many have been updated or extended to take into account up-to-date information.
