Publisher's Synopsis
"God For A Prophet" is a selection of twelve stories and twenty-two poems or lyrics. Most of the dozen stories revolve around a recurrent theme of death, but often with some sort of unique quirk or twist to them. There's a well-meaning doctor that eats his dead patients, an enigmatic and kind doctor who both saves children's lives and does great philanthropic work (prequels to a previous story from another short story book of mine), a boy who unconditionally loves a harmful monkey, a wacky, biochemistry professor conducting revolutionary, scientific studies all while under the influence of acid, a gay teenager whose two fathers hate him for it, an old sage warning young men during their exploration, a spiritual roller-coaster ride undertaken by an angst-ridden man, a serial killer profiling expert from the FBI who murders without detection, a working man postulating on the future existence of an omnipotent yet non-God like being, and a woman in love with a medically ailing, albino man. The twenty-two poems and lyrics presented in this book are much more thematically random in nature. The themes here vary widely anywhere from: romantic ideation, human harm to animals and their environment, a whimsical take on mental illness, the overwhelming and awe inspiring aspects within our world, optimism and hope, gloom and doom beliefs, and a reinvention for battling life,
