Dais ich jensens gilgamesch-epos nicht kenne, würde man aus dem folgenden Buche zu Unrecht erschliefsen. Aber ein Eingehen auf jenes Werk an der einen oder anderen Stelle würde keine Wider legung bedeuten, und ihm auf Schritt und Tritt zu folgen, verbot mir der Raum. Ich kann daher nur hier ein für allemal meine ab weichende Auffassung aussprechen und meinem Bedauern darüber Aus druck geben, dafs ein hochachtbarer Gelehrter, dem wir so vieles danken, seine wertvolle Kraft dauernd an ein Phantom hingibt.
