Noch um 1560 hiess sogar der Haus und Hofnarr der eng lischen Grossen Vice. 1) Die Hanswurstjacke (juggler's jerkin), die Ben Jensen dem Vice beilegt2), tr�gt dieser auch in dem Interlude 'jack J ugler', wovon noch zu sprechen seyu wird. In der von Douce, als Narrenwaffe erw�hnten Fliegenklatsche (flapper)3) vermuthet Collier das Instrument, das Vice in dem moral-play 'all f er Money' (1578) aus dem B�schel von des Teufels Schweif zu verfertigen sich versetzt.4) Gespielt wurden die Moralities auf einem B�hnenger�st im Freien, auf der Strasse, im Gr�nen bei einem Dorfe oder in der N�he einer Stadt, zu weilen in Stadthallen der Burgen und St�dte, manchmal auch in den Schl�ssern des Adels.
