I A). With the exception of a small area in the southwestern rt of the district traversed by Maskinonge river, the drainage of t ?at is effected entirely by Pike creek, a stream of considerable size originating in a series of lakes situated farther to the north outside the area examined. A well developed terrace between 15 and 20 feet in height has been formed on the east side of Pike creek in lots 1, 2, and 3, range VI, north and south, Amherst township.
