Publisher's Synopsis
This report describes the late Cenozoic development of the UK continental margin, and attempts to do so in a manner that is useful to both geologists and non-geologists. This is done by means of presenting and describing sytems-tract models that depict a variety of environments for significant time-slices in the margin's history. The models are primarily based on existing geological interpretations and publications, which are in the large part the results of the British Geologoical Survey offshore regional mapping programme.
