Excerpt from General and Local Acts Passed and Joint Resolutions Adopted by the Seventy-Seventh General Assembly at Its Second Regular Session, Vol. 99: Begun and Held in the City of Columbus, January 6, 1908
Sec. 7b. To regulate billiard and pool tables, nine or ten pin alleys or tables, and shooting and ball alleys; and to authorize the destruction of instruments or devices used for the purpose of gambling.
Sec. To prevent injury or annoyance from any thing dangerous, offensive, or unwholesome; to cause any nuisance to be abated; and to regulate and compel the con sumption of smoke, and prevent injury and annoyance from the same, and to regulate and prohibit the use of steam whistles.
Sec. 7d. To suppress and restrain disorderly houses and houses of ill fame, and to provide for the punishment of of all lewd and lascivious behavior in the streets and other M public places.
