Publisher's Synopsis
This is a contribution to development debates on integrating gender issues into development institutions. The writers are from South and North, women and men, working for or with Oxfam GB and other national Oxfams including Oxfam America and Novib. They chart their experiences in turning words into action on gender issues; and give a critical analysis of failures as well as successes in integrating gender into the work and structures of a development organization. The book is in seven sections, each with an overview and includes between four and six papers.
