Life has started to move on from the harrowing battle against Blightheart and Pine's childhood friend (turned video game villain), Tomadar. Six months later, Pine finds himself at a job he doesn't care about, avoiding his mom's new boyfriend. His only salvation lies with the MasterCodeX, still in his possession and providing him and his new friends an escape to a virtual world where they have godlike abilities. Sometimes it feels like the only thing holding Pine to the real world is his budding romance with Mario, as the two grow even closer after their first adventure. With a night off and the release of the newly remastered Mythical Wings, Pine and his friend Jemma are about to learn they have only begun to understand the dark power of the MasterCodeX and all their favorite video games
