A second, short collection of poetry by R.D. Shepard, GAME OVER focuses on trauma and mental illness specifically through twenty-one pieces. Written at the deep end of borderline personality disorder and schizoaffective disorder, Shepard took a pledge early on in his life to be uncomfortably open about the symptoms of his mental illness as a way of destigmatizing mental illness as a whole and to help others dealing with similar symptoms to navigate through the societal shame resulting from that stigma.
