This story takes place in 2022/2023. A man named Jim Zimberman and his wife of 40 years retire in Colorado just before the Covid 19 pandemic hits. Unfortunately, retirement becomes boring because of restricted travel, so Jim experiments with electromagnetic frequencies which he researched over the previous ten years. He wanted to experiment with electromagnetic beams, like the LASER, but not necessarily in the visible range. In doing this, Jim creates an elaborate computer program using known physics equations, and stumbles across an unknown frequency (actually three frequencies) within the Terahertz Gap of the electromagnetic spectrum. What he finds is astounding. It turns out that the frequencies he finds create missive heat radiation. Just before he gets any further with his experiment, tragedy strikes in downtown Denver, Colorado during an unanticipated clash between two extreme political groups. Politics in 2022 is much worse than during the 2020 election, and ultra-extreme groups developed on both sides of politics, leaving the vast majority of Americans in the middle with little representation. After time, Jim gathers himself, but with a sense of strong revenge due to the tragedy. Jim realizes that he might have a way for revenge and at the same time he might be able to end the ultra-radical politics within the United States. Jim perfects his new weapon using the frequencies that he found and builds it for long range use in order to be as stealthy as possible. Then he plans for the kills, one on each side of radical politics.
