The story begins when the FBI unexpectedly arrests the most potent and successful businessman in Chicago, Leonardo Fleming, the owner of Fleming industries leaving his wife and daughter vulnerable to any attack from Leonardo's enemies. After suffering from a deadly assault, Sierra Fleming Leonardo's wife and Roslyn Fleming, his daughter, move to New York, where Jon Fleming Leonardo's teenage son lives with his uncle. Sierra tries convincing her Son to move back to Chicago upon his father's release. Still, Jon intends to stay with his uncle's family but changes his mind after receiving an unexpected package, not knowing that his decision to join his father will forever change his life. As Leonardo Fleming gets released from jail, he rejoices at the reunion of his family. Still, during Leonardo's time in prison, the Fleming industry loses most of its influence to all the other small and illegal businessmen in Chicago. As Leonardo competes with his enemies to regain his strength, he also takes care of the enemies who went after his family during his absence; meanwhile, his son Jon finds his voice with a gorgeous girl named Margaret. He falls in love with her without knowing she is daughter of his father's biggest competitor, Mark Lee. She took advantage of Leonardo's absence more than anyone and took over half of the rum business in Chicago. Still, after getting the information about her and her family, Jon finds out that both he and the raven-haired princess are in deep love with each other.
Things go wrong in the streets of Chicago, and both families come to war due to the acts of Mark Lee's eldest son Mathew who seems to be quick of his temper, but at last, the young lovers somehow manage to make peace between the old competitors as peace finally comes into the streets a drug mafia from China finds his way to Chicago to attempt to spread his drug business and also to avenge his dear brother who he believes has been killed by Leonardo
The native businessmen don't like the idea of spreading drugs in their home city, so the Chinese drug mafia has to take extreme steps to gain power in Chicago.
One night as Jon and his father drive their way back home with one of their guards Jarvis, they get attacked by someone whom Leonardo should have killed when he had the chance; that night changes everything in Jon's life and the lives of the people he holds dear...
