Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Future Military Health Infrastructure Requirements in the Rocky Mountain Region: Hearing Before the Military Installations and Facilities Subcommittee of the Committee on National Security, House of Representatives, One Hundred Fourth Congress, First Session; Hearing Held April 12, 1995
It is truly a challenge for the department to appropriately meet the concerns and needs of our beneficiaries and still comply with the direction to downsize. We have tried to create alternatives to provide health care services while reducing costs associated with our extensive infrastructure.
The same fiscal constraints of the defense budget apply to the Defense Medical Construction program. In addition, our facilities are aging.
