Publisher's Synopsis
Narcotics Detective Sergeant Jordan Warner, a child genius who has had several jobs and earned many college degrees, discovers her biological father is a former pop star from the seventies. When her biological father, Riley Bourne, comes to her hometown of Cherokee, N.C. to play a concert at the local Casino, Jordan ends up arresting him when she finds drugs in his dressing room. Her Captain orders her to find a way to keep the arrest quiet and from turning into a media frenzy when she refuses to drop the charges against Riley. They agree that Riley will perform community service for his misdeed much to his Agent/Manager's displeasure. Jordan and Riley try to patch up their mismatched father/daughter relationship while she tries to keep her own marriage from falling apart.
