"What on earth do you keep in those archives anyway?" I was a bit surprised by the question, not because it was a new question, but because a student worker at the B.L. Fisher Library at Asbury Theological Seminary asked it. This student worker had worked at the library for many years and so I came to realize that many people who used the library daily or worked at the Seminary might be in a similar position. Often Archives and Special Collections can be mysterious places, where specialized scholars go to research obscure topics. Even professionals can be baffled by the use of "finding aids" that may notbe overly helpful
