The categories chosen for unsuccessful themes represent what our experience has led us to believe characteristic elementary weaknesses, rather than any attempt at a complete rhetorical scheme. If the analysis should appear either unsatisfactory or super?uous, it can be ignored. The text of the themes is free from any obtrusive evidence of classification, except in relation to conventional forms.
