Publisher's Synopsis

The Revolutionary War For Bunker Hill veterans Asa and Dan Kelly as well as Dan's wife Erin, 1775 and 1776 are truly years of liberty or death. Asa joins Benedict Arnold's secret mission in the starvation march through the Maine wilderness. The survivors then must attack the city of Quebec during a predawn blizzard against overwhelming odds. Dan helps Henry Knox deliver cannons for the siege of Boston and General Washington uses them to try to force the British from the city. Meanwhile Erin faces a nightmare of her own at the farm of a friend. When the Continental Army prepares to defend Long Island against a British invasion, the Kellys must get word to Washington about the enemy's plans. Then Asa falls in love with the sister of a fellow scout, only to lose her unless he can find a way to get back through enemy lines. At the end of the year, a desperate Washington strikes back at the British across an icy Delaware River.
