Frantisek Kupka was a man of unusual breadth and versatility - a brilliant painter, intellectual, philosopher and visionary. After years of neglect, his work has finally started to attract the attention of the academic and the general public. Yet, there is still a palpable need to continue uncovering and learning more about his artistic journey. This aim is behind the publication of this catalogue raisonne of Frantisek Kupka's oil paintings, developed by Adolf Loos Apartment and Galley in cooperation with the National Gallery in Prague and the Austrian National Gallery Belvedere in Vienna.
