The Uitenhage plants submitted to me for examination by the Geological Commission of Cape Colony were collected from rocks exposed in the valleys of the Bezuidenhout, Witte, Sunday, and Zwartkop Rivers in the Uitenhage and Port Elizabeth districts in the south-east of Cape Colony; and from the neighbourhood of Herbertsdale, Mossel Bay; and Heidelberg.
