Publisher's Synopsis
Most people worth their weight in salt have been forged in the fire of some sort of adversity. Matthew "EMCY" Conant tells a gripping story of loss, adoption, love, abandonment, acceptance, imprisonment, faith, and family. Sentenced to 20 years to life for second degree murder 2 months after his 19th birthday, he bares it all as he shares what it was like for non-affiliated convict to walk 25 years straight on the mainline of Californias toughest prisons.
Trading life in prison for a life with Christ, Matthew made a choice to give himself to Jesus. This decision would eventually set him free, not only inside of prison, but inside of himself. After serving 25 years from the age of 19 to 44, Matthew was released in 2017 and hit the streets running. Dedicating his life to sharing the gospel and the love of christ, Matthew became a member of Hog Mob Ministries, an urban discipleship fellowship for men.
Matthew and his wife, Momo, also travel the United States sharing and demonstrating what married life looks like under the banner of christ. Today you can find Matthew teaching men's bible studies, running a weekly Hog Mob Ministry youth group called, The H.I.T. Squad (which is an acronym for Hogs In Training). You can also find Matthew dropping Christian hip hop videos, touring and talking in jails and prisons across the nation and always representing Hog Mob Ministries.
