In 2047, the Middle East is watched by skeptical government leaders. Most of the former Islamic ruled countries have joined to form the Republic of Islamic Provinces and Territories. War and civil instability has finally ended. President Najeeb's government promises cooperation, transparency. Secretly, a powerful British Arab has a far different vision for RIPT's future.
Habitat For Humanity becomes the first to respond to RIPT's request for assistance. Eliza, fluent in Arabic and Sharia Law, is assigned to assist the team's leader. When the USA's president is informed the Habitat team are missing, he faces public demands for revenge. The USA spy network and CIA are commanded to bring the Americans home at any cost. Then, destroy those responsible. In a police compound, Eliza survived a horrific crime. Overnight, a malicious cover-up seals her fate. Captured by Captain Sharif and held in a secret location, she endures the police officer's callus behavior. Hope crumbles when she discovers his life depends upon loyalty to his corrupt superiors. If he fails, he will be buried alive. He is also clever, has the devotion of his police squad, and devoted to his Muslim faith. God does not permit murder. Eliza realizes that she is safe as long as Captain Sharif is alive. When the CIA agent finds Eliza and plans to get her out of RIPT, she must choose. Follow the captain into the darkest hell hole, or help the CIA destroy the one man she trusts with her life and heart.
