In 1903 the largest oil boom hits the USA as one Texas family who set out on an adventure to become the largest oil distributors in the world. The story begins in their hometown of Hondo, Texas. During this time the government tries many ways to shut down the families operation and stop at nothing to see that no oil flow from the oil wells. The Marcus Family must endure many obstacles from sickness, murder, betrayal and being double crossed but being resilient until the end. This book is loosely based on and actual Texas family and this family continues to operate oil wells to this day.
