The flowers are identified by both their English and Latin names and are grouped in terms of the colour of their petals (orange, yellow, white, blue, purple or red). Many of the featured plants include notes on distinguishing characteristics of the plant and whether or not it is poisonous. As a portable weatherproof guide, it will provide a practical aid to the beginner wishing to correctly identify all the common (and well-known endemic) New Zealand wildflowers.
