Publisher's Synopsis
Flash Cards Set One -- Major Classes and Orders -- contains 30 images and back-card text (primarily taxonomic, anatomical, life history, and ecological questions) representing classes and orders of freshwater invertebrates of North America that are basic to learning the principles of freshwater ecology and the biological monitoring of freshwater streams and ponds.
The images are high quality commissioned art, each of which depicts in lateral or dorsal view one individual representing a class or order of freshwater invertebrate important to assessing the water quality of the hibitat in which they are found -- or are not found. Representatives of six classes, ranging from flatworms to insects, are included.
The 4"x6" cards are printed in color on synthetic material and are therefor waterproof. A companion reference booklet comes with each set.
