Publisher's Synopsis
It had been so long since Scott had felt the touch of another man...had been held by a man...felt the fingertips of man tracing the contours of his face. "Damn," he said to himself as his body shivered at the mere thought. He occasionally went out with his best friend, Jarrod, and while Jarrod had no problems picking up random men for a night of no strings attached sexual gratification, the thought of a casual one night stand held no appeal for Scott. He wanted what other men in Reno apparently didn't want...to fall in love. To find that one perfect man that was the other part of his soul.
It was just another Friday night in May and Scott was dragging his feet as usual as Jarrod drug him out to Club Eros but the closer they got the more something in Scott changed. As a writer he could invent any number of possibilities as to what the change could mean...he just knew that this night was going to be different...he could feel it. Something incredible was going to happen and suddenly he couldn't wait to get through the door to see what that 'something' was.
Despite the success in his professional life as a lawyer fighting for the gay community, the personal side of David's life was most definitely not as prosperous. Almost five years earlier his life had taken a big turn in the exact opposite direction...the bottom dropped from his life when his boyfriend of five years just disappeared...no word, no reason why...hell, not even a goodbye. One day his life was practically perfect and the next it was in ruins.
It took David a long time to come to the realization that the disaster his life had become was not his doing...beyond falling for the wrong man. It would not have taken much of a push for him to turn into one of those guys that drowned their sorrows on a bar stool and the bottom of a beer mug while picking up any man who was willing to be had for the night or at least a quickie in the bar bathroom. For that reason he did not often venture out into the bar and club scene. But this particular Friday night David was drawn to Club Eros like a moth to a flame...something was going to happen...something that would change his life...for the better it was hoped as he didn't think he could handle having to pick up the pieces of a broken heart yet again.
