Charles gilpin, Esq. Rose to second the resolution and having made some appropriate remarks upon it, it was put to Vote and adopted without a dissenting voice. Dr. Edwin P. Atlee then delivered an oration explana tory of the principles of abolitionists, showing the beneficial effects which their practical application would have upon the happiness and prosperity of our country.
