One of the types of evidence that, despite the passage of time, continues to be the holy grail of criminal investigation, along with DNA, is the fingerprint. In this sense, various methods and techniques have emerged over the years to reveal fingerprints on different surfaces; from traditional powders that today produce high fluorescence, to highly sensitive reagents, and even infrared imaging that requires no mechanism other than technology. Obtaining a clear fingerprint is now increasingly efficient.
